This is a case of 'if I was going there, I wouldn't start from here'.
Replace the three check boxes with a single listbox content control
Add a text content control where you want the result. If you want the result in more than one place then map the text control and copy it wherever you want the result.
Insert Content Control Add-In will help with that.

The macro fires when you make a selection then click outside the list box.
See attached.

hi! thank u for the content control add-in, i never knew about that before.
but i cant use anything other than checkboxes and i choose the checkbox from legacy tools bcs if i choose the regular one, other form wont be functioning
i too have a way to link text or image to drop down list that u suggested to me but more complicated, i use { IF{ REF *thebookmarkname* }="*the exact name one of ur item*" "*what u want to replace the name of the item with"}

but do you know how to only select one checkbox? thank youuuu

You cannot use check boxes as radio buttons without macros - see Making groups of Check Box Form Fields mutually exclusive (so that they
behave like radio buttons)
- and if you are using macros you can use them to evaluate the form field check boxes and write the data accordingly.
