Consolidate two paragraphs
I have many paragraph that I would like to consolidate. The first paragraph is always a name which ends with a paragraph mark, followed by the next paragraph which also ends with a paragraph mark. The paragraph following the name is just some text.
Can I have those two paragraphs combine into one with a colon separating the name and the second paragraph with new paragraph having a hanging indent of 1"? Example before and after provided. |

Via a macro? Do you have a style with the indent set to your preference?
I would record a macro of these steps after selecting the content I want to do this with: 1. With the content selected, choose Insert > Table > Convert Text to Table (2 columns, separate text at paragraphs) 2. When the table is created, choose Table Tools > Layout > Convert to Text (separate text with Other = : 3. Find and Replace dialog to find : and replace with :[space] 4. Assign the style OR paragraph hanging indent.
