Create Macro to Change text-wrapping, crop, picture corrections and image re-size.
Aloha,
First time poster to this forum, so please excuse any rule breaking. I am a Hawaiian language researcher and I often have to work with newspaper articles from the 19th century.
I like to organize them in to word docs and then turn them in to PDFs afterwards for ease of viewing for myself and others. The images can be downloaded from the database as such:
https://www.papakilodatabase.com/pdnupepa/?a=d&d=KAHEEL19290704-01.2.47&srpos=1&dliv=none&e=-------en-20--1-byDA-txt-txIN%7ctxNU%7ctxTR-%22he+mele+pule+no+na+waa+a+kana%22-------
The tricky part is that theyre all different sizes. They are then put through the following steps
I usually do this manually by doing the following steps:
- Insert image
- Format > Borders and Shading > Page Border > Box > 3 pt
- Wrap text - in front of text
- Image size: Width - 3.62 in
- Crop to 10 in
- Copy & paste to crop/move up again to fit the rest of the column
- Picture Corrections > Contrast 100%
- Picture Corrections > Sharpness -5%
- Picture Corrections > Brightness -20%
- Repeat.
Please see attached image to see how I like it.
I need help with a macro to do this quicker, as I have many images to organize in to a doc at a time. I have been trying to figure this out for quite some time. If anyone could help me I would be very grateful.
