Is there a way of saving macros on a new tab instead of the Quick Access Toolbar.

You can also do it through Customize the Ribbon directly in Word. Both the macro and the tab need to be existing when you do this. However, I think, long-term, you would be much happier with the methods shown on Greg's page.

Record as button option adds directly to the Quick Access bar. I know how to add a custom tab and add to it. Just didn't realise the macros could be added.
