Default Document Separation

Hi,

I need a macro for page splitting based on the page no’s enter in the dialog box, I had searched on many forums and I got macro but there was some problem with the macro.

In a document am having table’s and paragraph data while splitting the document with these macro table also get splitting by default, my purpose is if we enter page no’s document has to be split based on the text data and tables should not spited. Suppose am entre page 25 and in page no 25 table is presented and continuation was on page 26 and it should not get separated by the macro either it has to give a some message like “Table continuation” or else split the document after the continuation of that table or split only at the text data.

Your help is highly appreciated.

There are no pages in a Word document. Documents are made up of several layers, a bit like a pile of transparencies that go to make up the whole. The main body text is a complete block of text that flows between the current margins. This is why your attempts to split the document by page are running into so much difficulty. If however this is a document created by mail merge - see https://www.gmayor.com/MergeAndSplit.htm

See:

The thing is, you need something other than a simple page number to mark the point at which you want a break. If you could insert named bookmarks that could be the point potentially use those bookmarks. The second article suggest using heading styles to signify logical divisions in a document. If those were used in your document, they could be used to mark division points.
