Duplicating dropdown box but also removing text in paragraphs when option is not selected
Hi, I would be extremely grateful if anyone can help as I'm very new to using the Legacy tools in word and have set myself a bit of an ambitious task. I have created two drop-down menu's which I want to use to populate a fixed paragraph in a report below the inputs section. Furthermore if either are not selected I want the report content to remain hidden. The report template I'm proposing to make will have multiple different input fields powering which paragraphs are shown in the report and populate the phrases chosen to make it specific. If someone would be kind enough to show me the code to undertake this task I'm hoping I can replicate it and make the adjustments to do all of other fields I need. Thank you in advance to anyone who pick this up!!!!! EXAMPLE: Drop Down List 1: • Not Selected • Cat • Dog Drop-Down List 2: • Not Selected • Toy • Treat Report Content Example My pet dog chased the neightbours (DROPDOWN LIST 1) as it had stolen its (DROPDOWN LIST 2) |

How do you propose someone populates a report that is hidden?
'Legacy tools' are form fields and they were essentially superceded by content controls in Word 2007. Are you using those or are you using Content Controls? If you want to post a sample document we can have a look at what you are working with and offer suggestions

Frankly I would never start a document with hidden content and for the type of report that you are suggesting, I would suggest creating a document template with a VBA userform that has the choices and then use the output from that userform to add content to the document as required. The result is a document with nothing hidden that the recipient can resurrect.
