Default VBA to reference the selection of a dropdown box

Hi All,

New to VBA in Word and I want to know how I can reference the selection made from a drop down list. eg:

Dropdown list contains AAA, BBB, CCC and DDD

If CCC is selected how do I refernece this choice?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
