My company just started using ProofPoint for email security. It converts all incoming URLs into something like this, with the real URL (bolded) surrounded by protection:
https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2020/03/coronavirus-anxiety/608317/__;!!BspMT6SJLSDJ!YOvVk1wvd5VfFUtGzaX_UL4p9xaTK9Sc yK3eF1tJmuqc4yT0MV2Rs-z0Ws1Bw-Pjw7jU$ I often receive essays for publication that are in the body of an email. Our publishing platform doesn't play nicely with the the urldefense URLs. I convert them by pasting the content into Word, clicking on individuals URLs, going to the page I'm directed to, copying the real URL, and returning to Word to paste it over the urldefense one. If there are a dozen or more in a document, this can take time. The format seems to be the same for each urldefense URL. Is it possible to write a macro in Word to 1) reveal the URLs and in a document and 2) convert them into the targets URLs? As a novice, I'm not sure where to start. Many thanks, pjs |
