VAB Macro to Change colour for Activex Check Boxes

I have created one Word form with mutiple Activex check box. Need VBA Macro to change the background colour of the Activex check box whichever selected in document. Cureently created macro for each box, however original form has more than 100 and it is taking time to create macro for each one separately. please assist. Attached the sample word document. MS office version is office365 Enterprise.

I'm not using a Mac anymore but was under the impression that ActiveX only worked on Windows. Are you saying you can get this to work on a Mac - but want to figure out how to make the macro automated for multiple instances?

Sorry for the confusion. MAC is the document name. Using windows only. Corrected the original post.

I think you should be using Checkbox Content Controls and then the OnExit macro can do all the automation work. There are several example macros on how to do this with Content Controls. Maybe start with this thread

Thanks. Works fine with Content control check box. However need help with Activex Check box since I have some other functionality like select multiple check box based on one check bo, showing msg box instruction.
