Word template issue
Hello!
I am writing some macros to migrate some Word docs from one template to another. The docs the macros are being run on come from a repository, and not all of them are built on the same template, so I have to check if it's the right one. The problem is that the people who checked them in have the original template saved in different locations on their computer, hence when I run If ActiveDocument.AttachedTemplate = "MyOriginalTemplate.dot" Then ... it doesn't enter the If block even though the template might be the right one, because it doesn't exist in my computer at the address specified in the Templates and Add-ins window. I cannot change the template to match the location where it's stored in my computer manually, because the process of runnig the macros is automated (done inside a python script), and I can't change it from the python script either, because it may be that some docs are not based on that particular template. Is there anything I can do about this? Thank you! |
