Help with populating text from drop down list
Hi All,
Found this site (and this thread) trying to google my issue. The attachment in the second post is exactly what I need my word doc to do, however I have no idea how to edit it properly. I've created a Drop Down List (content control) with 24 options. Once a user selects one option, I want it to populate a lengthy paragraph right below. I found some tutorials that said to create the resulting paragraphs in AutoText/Building Blocks Organizer, which I've done (there's 24 results). But now I just need to know how to connect the two. I understand that this link says it's VBA but as someone who is familiar with Word but not "code" I need some help. Lastly, if I keep the results using Building Blocks Organizer, I want to make sure that if I send this doc to someone else, that they'll be able to populate the same list/results on their computer (wasn't sure if this was coded to a specific computer). Any insight is appreciated. Thanks! |

You didn't mention this in your other thread. That will only work if you send them the template the Building Blocks were added to.
