turn footnotes and their respective superscripts into normal text
I use "Selection.Range.ListFormat.ConvertNumbersToTe xt" for a similar editing process, so I would like to know whether there's a line of code to turn footnotes and their respective superscripts

Word cannot convert footnote references to 'normal' text; doing so would destroy the footnotes.
Alternatively, if all you want to do is remove the superscripting, delete the superscript attribute from the Footnote Reference Style. No code required.
