Dependent lists using content control
Hi I have no experience of VBA and have read lots of thread but can't seem to get the various codes I have tried to work, I suspect it is because none of the examples exactly fit my criteria.
I am wanting to have a table that has a drop down list content control in word 2016 that has a list of options: A, B, C, D. In a second drop down list content control or just a text field but in another cell on the table in word I want a value to appear. So if A is chosen 1 appears if B is chosen 2 appears, etc. I don't want a choice of options for the second field. I have tried the Greg Maxey site and whilst very informative I suspect my lack of knowledge is holding me back. Thanks for anyone who can help. |

Many thanks Paul,
I have looked at this one but I need the dependant feature 'the number 1 if A is chosen' to be in a separate cell of a table and I couldnt get this solutions to work in this context. Thanks |

The approach in the link works equally well with or without a table - the output goes wherever you put the secondary content control.
