Marco to find and delete unwanted blank rows in manuscript
Hi all, I have some experience with VBA in Excel but this is my first attempt at a VBA solution in Word. I'm writing a novel in Scrivener and I periodically export it to Word for various reasons. When I export to Word, Scrivener adds an extra unwanted row between scenes. I use ### to indicate the end of a scene. I'd like to have a macro that cycles through my manuscript looking for all instances of "###" and then deletes the empty row that immediately follows it. I'm attaching a screenshot to help explain. Any takers for this? It would be much appreciated as I do this export fairly frequently and there are enough scenes in the book that make it not feasible to do this manually. |

Had you displayed the paragraph breaks (click the ¶ button on the Home tab) it would have been clearer what you want, but all you need to do is search for
###^p replace with ###

Wow that seems to have worked. Looks like I was trying to make this way too complicated. Thanks for saving me a lot of time!
