Question Macro: automate a contract?

Hello wise human ,

(FYI I have the necessary experience with excel vba)

I need to automate a contract by letting the user choose the details from dropdown menus (with a combobox) and with that info populate the word document.

this necessity arose from the fact that every time they write a work contract they have to fill in every detail and then review it all over again to make sure it is correct.

By creating a Word VBA solution with a combobox + drop down menus, I could use a macro to either write the whole contract with it or just fill in a doc certain spots with the drop down menu selections.

Question: Does anyone have a document similar to this that I can use to base my solution on? or is the excel VBA process the same as word and I should use an excel guide to produce my word VBA solution?
