Default Changing background colour based on dropdown choice

Greetings,

I would like to have the background colour for a table cell change depending on the choice from a dropdown list. I've uploaded a document as a sample. I would like to do this to other documents (I'm developing Assessment sheets for my class) as well.

I am a complete novice when it comes to using Macros and I have tried to make sense of several explanations of how to do this but I have met my match. Can anyone help a newbie?

Thanks
