I have a document that I need to apply a mail merge on it. The problem is, my document has 67 pages, and I need to change one name that appears 510 times making it my source to the mail merge. When I try to modify that name all at once, the mail merge doesn't work. Is there any VBA code that can fix this?

Without knowing precisely what you're changing, it's impossible to know how to resolve the matter. From your post I can't tell, for example, whether you're changing the data source, the mailmerge main document, or the mailmerge output document. Changing some content in any of these would neither stop it being nor make it your mailmerge source.

If you change the value of the variable to see the modification you just need to select all you document and press F9.

That has nothing to do with whether the mailmerge would continue to work. Furthermore, if the modification was being made to a mergefield's display value, updating the document would simply erase the change.
