Macro Help Needed - White Background & PDF
I'd like to develop a macro which would change the background of the page to white and then publish to PDF. I haven't been successful. Can anyone help? |

What approach did you use to set the current page background?

The current page has no colored background as set up in Word. The reason I need it to change it to white is that we use text boxes with white text in them as reminders ("Remember to include Certs of Insurance," etc.), and white shading over text to call out client names (helps us to notice them when they need to be changed). In Windows we have set the Window color to a pastel shade under "Window Color and Appearance" so we can see the white text.
If I don't change the background to white text sometimes you get a ghost image of the white text when it's printed, etc. It would be very helpful and time saving if I could hit one button (and providing the document was already saved to the computer), it could change the background to white and pdf the document. pjm |

In that case, you might do better to apply a unique Style name to the textbox content, formatted for the white text, then simply change the Style's font attribute to hidden for printing purposes. Indeed, you could even keep the content formatted as hidden on a permanent basis. Then, provided you have Word configured to display, but not print, hidden text, the problem is solved without the need for a macro.
