A macro to find a symbol, delete it, and move the cursor to that location
Hi all, I'm positive this is a dumb request because all the searches I've done for this have found much more complicated issues but is there way to have a macro that I can trigger with a key stroke (like Alt-H or something) that would find a symbol I left earlier in the document for myself (like an * or $) and will go back, delete the symbol, and move my cursor so I can start typing from that spot? Any help would be truly appreciated. |

Why do you need a macro? Using Ctrl-F will allow you to Find the character, which you can then select and start typing. Running a macro would actually take more keystrokes..
