Default Start any Windows application (.exe) from WinWord

Helo,

In winword I would like to start a sound player which plays any sound file from timestamp to timestamp. The timestamps in sound file correspond to a text slice in winword file. The sound file and the timestamps are parameters for the player. One solution for this problem is the hyperlink. But text editing of hyperlink in winword is difficult. Please send some words about other solutions.

Best Regard

How can I initiate a locally located exe-file from a doc-file in MS Word so that it differs from the hyperlink solution. Anyone who should know the answere please let me know.
