Default Creating a reducing drop down list

Hi I would like to create a drop down list that reduces as selections are made from it so that the selections are placed in an order and each selection is only used once.

For example - Possible selections:- Apple, pear, orange, grape

1. Choice of Apple, pear, orange, grape (Grape selected)
2. Choice of Apple, pear or orange as grape has already been used. (Pear selected)
3. Choice of Apple or orange...........Etc.

I have made the drop down list but I am struggling with the content control of the drop down list. Any help is appreciated.

With a dropdown list, only one item can be selected at a time, so it's not clear what purpose is served by deleting items once they've been selected. Perhaps you could clarify.

I want the reader of the survey to put the list in order of priority

for example out of four options.

1. Option b
2. Option d
3. option c
4. option a

As the person moves down the priority option numbers (1 -4) the drop down list would reduce by the previously selected option so that it is no longer available to select.

Thank for taking the time to help.

What happens if they change their mind after making a selection? Can they go back and choose a different item?

All I am trying to achieve is to take the stupidity out of the form to stop me getting option a (for example) for their top 4 priorities.

See attached demo using dropdown content controls. The content controls all have the title 'Question1' and are tagged 'Question1A' - 'Question1D'. The macros in the document's 'ThisDocument' code module drive the process.

Default Absolute Dependent dropdowns

Is it possible to create a dropdown that only appears, or becomes live, after a given response to a previous dropdown? For example, if a form filler responds with a yes, then another content control opens with a list of options, but if they respond with a no, the second dropdown doesn't appear or remains inaccessible?

I see you have asked the same question in: https://www.msofficeforums.com/word-...own-lists.html
Kindly don't ask the same question in multiple threads.
