Default Word template that automatically resize's and formats image layout

Hi
I want to create a report template which contains both text and images.

I want the second page of the template to contain images, which I would like to be able to insert and the template automatically resize and move the images (up to 8 images per page) so they are aligned and symmetrical.

I believe this can be done with a macro, however I am a complete newbie to the macro world, so anyone that can provide the code and step by step instructions would be helping me out massively!

I am using word for mac 2011.

Hope that makes sense. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

The easiest way to achieve what you want is to create a table with a fixed column width and/or row height. Any image you insert into such a table will be constrained to fit within whichever of those dimensions is fixed. If the table is centred on the page, so too will the image be. You can also, if desired, have more than one column so that multiple images can be inserted side-by-side. As with tables generally, tabbing out of the last cell will add another row into which you can insert more images.

Hi macropod

Thanks for replying. Can you provide step by step guide on how to create a fixed table? I have tried adding a table, but the only option to 'fix' is the width, not height. And even when I do fix the width, when I add a larger image, the table expands to allow the image to fit.

I have seen in other forums people asking similar questions and people have recommended macros - is this something that could work?

Thanks in advance

On the Table Properties>Row tab, set the specified height with the 'Exactly' parameter.
