Default load word addin on start up from location other then startup

so i have a .dotm addin file that adds a custom ribbon and custom bottoms that will run some macros i wrote. this is in an office setting and other will be using it.
i want the addin to load automatically at startup from a location that all users have access to. this way if i have updates to the addin all users will get it automatically and there will be no copies of the addin. i do not want to put the file in the startup folder bc that will be different for every user.

this is very easy to do in excel. i dont know why its so much harder to do in work.

any one have any ideas??

thanks
