Default Macro Won't Save

I have created a macro that I need for work. It runs fine. However, when I exit Word and then enter again, the macro is not there and I have to recreate it all over again. How do I make the macro stay so I don't have to create it every time I enter Word? Thx

In what format do you save the document? I assume you are saving in a "docm" format, but just checking.

Its a macro that won't save, not a document. Actually, the macro saves and I can use it over and over in document after document as long as I don't exit Word. Once I exit, its not there when I go back into Word. I've never had this problem before and can't figure out what's wrong.
