![]() I need to find the first instance of a field (generated via mail merge) on each page, and then put the value of the field into the footer on that page. Any suggestions? |

![]()
Ordinarily there are no fields in a mailmerge output document - the fields that were in the mailmerge main document will have all been converted to the text of their results when the merge was executed.
I suggest you apply a unique Style name to the mergefield whose results you want to appear in the footer, then use a STYLEREF field in the footer to reference that Style. No VBA required.
