command button that generates a popup for sending email
Hello,
I hope you can help me with the following: I would like to create a command button in a Word document. On clicking the button, a pop up comes with 2 fields and then a submit button To (field): the user of the Word document inputs a valid email address From (field): this one is my email address and is pre-populated and will not change. So, when a recipient (in the To field above) receives the email, they can then reply to the email. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks, |

The submit button on clicking it will send an email to the recipient in the "To" field. When the recipient receives the email, they can then click on reply and their email will be sent to the email address in the "From" field that popped up.
I don't know how to create a mail item. I would not want to restrict this only to individuals that use outlook. The document will be sent as an attachment with the "submit" button is clicked. Can anyone help please. If this already exists in another thread, maybe you can please let me know where to look. thank you. Quote:

But is the sending computer going to use Outlook. Are you saying you want it to be generic.
Is the document already saved, or does it need to be saved. To send as attachment it MUST be saved. Sorry...I have no question mark key... |

Thanks.
Yes, I wanted it to be generic as I don't know if the sending computer will always have outlook. The document will be saved but I don't know if I can specify for it to be saved in a particular location. Is there a way for me to make the code save the document as "Form-(with a time stamp)"? |
