Default Highlight and then replace multiple words

Hi Friends,

I have 300 documents, each of which has to be checked for around 500 different 'customer names'. After highlighting the occurances I wish to check them for correctness visually and then replace all of them with one single word.

Please help me...

Default A maximum of how many words can be searched for at a time?

A maximum of how many words can be searched for at a time?

I tried to use a macro for finding some 500 different words from a document. But after adding around 80 words the rest could not be added. Is there any limit for this?

Please help....

For some code to do the interactive part, see: https://www.msofficeforums.com/word-...html#post31849

For some code for the multi-document part, see: https://www.msofficeforums.com/word-...cel-range.html

With the Excel workbook approach, there is no practical limit to the # of words that can be searched for (the real limit in the above implementations is 1,048,576 search terms, but only because the macros aren't coded to work with more than one column of search terms ...).

I mean that by using an Excel workbook to hold the search terms, as the code in the links portray. Even without using Excel, I've contstructed a Find/Replace macro in the past with over 1500 words - all embedded in one long string in the macro.

The F/R macro with the first 1500 words can be downloaded from: http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...118394-Globish

Hi Paul,

I am really amazed....You are really great.......It works wonderfully.....I have replaced the list of 'Goblish' words with the 'customer name'.....
..And it's suddenly.... "the impossible has become possible....."
...I just don't know how to thank you.....

Thanks.....Thanks a million...God bless you....

Regards,
Radhin
