Creating a Macro to change the shading of a cell
I have a table of membership members and when they attend a meeting I would like to be able to shade the cell with their name a particular color to show they have attended the meeting, by clicking on the cell and just hitting say ctrl/shift/c to change it to pink. TIA!

Hi Triscia
This is better done using Excel as you can use Conditional Formatting. Let me know if you want a sample. Tony |

It would be, but they require us to use Microsoft Word. I would be able to do in Excel very easily, but Word, not so easy. If you have any ways it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

When you have the relevant cell selected, shading it requires nothing more than clicking on the 'Shading' option on the 'Design' tab, then clicking the desired colour.
If you need something more automated, you could record a macro as you do this for one cell, then assign a keyboard shortcut to it.
