Default change default font color to wdRed

How can I make sure every word typed is in red instead of doing this after typing all the texts:

Code:
With ActiveDocument.Styles("Normal").Font
       .ColorIndex = wdRed
End With
It just changes all the words into red words.

Hi tinfanide,

A quick & easy solution would be to activate change-tracking, then de-eactivate it when you're done.

Your suggestion is a nifty one, quick and easy.
But I did a bit of experiment because I think there should be something to do with the Normal template.

I go to the Normal.dotm in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Templates
and
Go to Font
and
Change the All text Font Color to red
and
Save

When I open a new document or any other old documents, the font is red. But I don't know why

when I edit an old document (an exception), even if I attach the Normal template to the document, it is still the automatic black colour. If you are interested, please take a look at the attached documents.

In the zip files, you can change the template path in test.docx to the attached Normal.dotm path.

Thank you.

Hi tinfanide,

Changing the font colour in the template won't affect any existing documents unless they're configured with the 'automatically update document styles' option (Developer|Document Template|Templates).

Of course, if you change the font colour in the template, all new documents based on that template (but not documents based on a different template) will be affected.

Yes, I know.
But the point is my existing document, where "automatically update document styles" is checked, is not based on the Normal template.

I can't comment on that - the only document you've attached to this thread is one that is based on the Normal template.

Just can't figure out why the attached one does not update the change made in my Normal template in my computer.
