If you implement the template management as I described, you don't need a macro - all you need is to choose the appropriate template according to the document's purpose from File|New > Templates > On My Computer. And even if you had a macro, it wouldn't run automatically every time you want to create a new document - you'd have to activate the template it's in before being able to run it to choose another template from which to create the document.
