Copy table cell formatting across multiple cells / tables
Hello,
I have a table with 3 rows and 5 columns. I've formatted the first cell of the table (text align, background color). I want to copy the cell formatting and use the formatting to quickly set other cells in my table. How to accomplish such a task? ( I've tried: - Styles - I guess I can only save a whole table style, not a table cell style - Format Painter - upon copying and pasting the formatting, the tool sets the background color of the text in a new cell instead of a background color of a cell Regards. |

Hi pakistanray,
Paragraph Styles should be used to manage anything to do with text formatting (including text background colour). Used correctly, there's then nothing in that regard to copy - simply re-apply the desired Style to the relevant cells. As for cell attributes (borders, shading etc), I think you'd need a macro to do the replication.
