Default Copying tables to MS Word

I have a table in plain text document (using notepad). It is some rows and columns, each entry being an integer (3~6 digits). In the plain text the columns are right-adjusted (so, e.g., the 10th digit of all the entries in the same column are in the same position vertically).

However, when I copied it to MS Word document, this vertical alignment is disrupted. Is there a way to transfer the table to Word without losing the exact alignment of the columns? (it's impossible for me to edit each and every entry by hand, as there are thousands in several tables!)

Thanks in advance.

Default Alignemnt

Hello, 123. I am guessing that your tables in Notepad are figures separated horizontally by tabs, so that you are either pasting these to Word as text and then converting to a table, or creating a table, selecting the same number of rows as you have copied from Notepad, and pasting your data into the table.

In either case, if you select the entire table and press Ctrl+R to right-align the text, you're done with that table, unless you have other formatting to do.

Does this solve your problem?
