Question Potential cell background color bug?

Sometimes, when I apply a color to a cell background, it does not color the full cell, only the left and right.

If I delete the table and create it again in the exact same way, it works as expected.

Could this be a bug?

Microsoft Word 365 (Desktop) (build 18827.20176).

It may be a display issue. Does it correct itself if you close & re-open the document? Does it print correctly?

Closing the document and re-opening it, even on a different computer, does not fix it.

I do not have a printer to test a print.

You could 'print' to a PDF...

Regardless, given that the problem persists when you open the document on a different computer, that suggests some kind of table corruption. Saving the document in RTF format, closing, the opening and making a minor edit to the RTF document before saving & closing it, then re-opening & saving back to the original format might resolve the problem. Some table corruption problems, though, can only be resolved by re-creating the table.

Sorry, I should have said including opening it on a different computer. It happens on the original computer, too.

Printing to PDF has the same issue.

In which case, the last paragraph in my previous reply applies.
