Default Narrow single-cell table with text wrapping doesn't allow table to break across pages

Hi there.

I am working on a template for a client. Along the left side of the page I need to have a single-cell table that is approximately 3in wide. This cell may contain a small amount of text, or enough to make the table 'row' break across pages.

Text wrapping is enabled for the table, so that text appears to the right of the table initially and then wraps to below the the table when the table finishes.

So:
[MY HEADING STUFF]
TTTT text
TTTT text
TTTT text
text text

or

[MY HEADING STUFF]
TTTT text
text text
text text
text text

but sometimes, it is
[MY HEADING STUFF]
TTTT text
TTTT text
TTTT text
TTTT text
[new page]
TTTT text
TTTT text
text text
text text

This last example is what I need to accomplish -- I need the single cell to allow the row to break across pages and still have the other text appearing to the right of the table. Instead, though, if there is enough text in the table to push it to a second page, the entire cell/table moves to the next page, instead of breaking and continuing on the next page.

Is this possible? the volume of the TTTT content above is not standard.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Jen

Text wrapping on a table can be challenging when your table doesn't fit on the one page. Instead I would forget about using text wrapping and get the 'same' look by adding a column on the side of the table and removing the borders to make it appear on the page as if it wasn't in the table. You can then put the body text into that cell and when you fill it to the point that it would stretch the last row of the 'narrow column', put the remainder of the text immediately after the table.
