adding numbers in same cell
I have to type a log at work. We do it using tables. We have to count inmates in particular dormitories. So an Entry might look like the following in a table:
12:00 a.m. Opening House Count A-Dorm (102) B-Dorm (111); Boot Camp (5) Total (218) That is pretty similar to what a line or two in my log might look like. I'd love to figure a way to type the numbers for A Dorm, B-Dorm, Boot Camp and have the total automatically add up and put the Total in the total box without having to use a hand held calculator. Even if I have to break down the cells or come up with some way to add the numbers and have them all show up in the total box would be cool. It seems like I might be able to do something like that by linking some Excel formulas. I would love to year from some of you experts. Thanks |

I think that it is better to use MS Excel for this task.
