How to remove almost a full page of blank space in between Word table rows

Hi:





Dealing with a Microsoft Word document table I did not create in which the top row appears at the top of the page, but underneath it there is blank space all the way to the next page where the table continues at the top of that next page. I want to remove this space in between them. Could you please suggest a fix for this?

You have posted the same question twice. Kindly don't post duplicate questions; I've deleted the duplicate (https://www.msofficeforums.com/word/...e-newpost.html) as it was in an unrelated thread.


As for the problem itself, I suggest you check the table's formatting. The problem may be due to the use of inappropriate paragraph formats and/or row allow-break settings.

I still have been unable to solve this problem with an entire page of blank space below table headings and the table then continuing at the top of the next page. If anyone has any suggestions, I would sure appreciate it.

Perhaps you could attach a document to a post showing the table concerned (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

I found that by getting into table properties and ensuring the "allow row to break across pages" was checked seemed to fix it.


So, by right clicking the table, clicking on table properties, going to "rows" tab, then checking off "allow row to break across pages" worked for me.
