Linking Tables in Word
Just looking to find out if it's possible to link tables within Word? I have added a Word file that has 2 tables and I would like the text from the 1st table to appear in the second table. Will I have to do this within Excel and copy it into Word?
note that I created the file on my home computer which is a Mac but will be mainly doing this type of table linking at work on Windows 7 Office 2016. |

If you want to replicate:
• the entire table, simply bookmark the first table, then insert a cross-reference to it; • the contents of various cells and the content to be replicated is numeric, simply bookmark the first table, then insert a formula field referencing that bookmark and cell address. For example: {=SUM(TblA A1)}, where TblA is the bookmark and A1 is the cell reference; or • anything else, you'll need to either: (a) use use formfields and cross-referencing; or (b) bookmark the individual cell contents and use cross-referencing.
