Evidently, someone has merged and/or split some of the cells. Without actually seeing the problem table in a document, it can be difficult for anyone to advise on the best way to resolve the issue. Can you attach a document to a post the affected table (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.
