text repeating in tables (2003)
Hi - here's my problem and I am struggling to describe it let alone solve it
I have a table in a word document which I am typing information into. When I get to the bottom of the page, the table continues onto the next page, but instead of allowing me to type new text into it, the table fills itsef with text from the top of the table. Sometimes this happens the first time I spill over onto the next page, and other times it will allow me to continue onto a second page before starting to misbehave on the third. I can't delete this duplicated text as it deletes the original at the same time. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and what I can do about it? thanks |

right-click on the part of the table that is being repeated on page 2, (Probably the top row of table), choose table properties.
Go to Row tab and uncheck repeat |

Thanks for the reply Kimberley - I did as instructed, but the repeat box is already unchecked, so this can't be the problem.
Also, it isn't the text from the first row (the titles) that is being repeated; it's the entire contents of the following row - which is divided into 2 columns. Any further ideas anyone? |
