Default Creating A5 & A6 flyers in A4 without margins?!

Hi Forum:

Because I'm place hunting I've created flyers of two different sizes for posting: two A5 size and four A6 size flyers on an A4 page each.

Now I'm wondering if it's possible to create these flyers in such a way that the flyer borders are equal with the A4 page borders, that is without the margins?!

This would make printing and especially cutting the flyers that much easier .

Many thanks.

Unless your printer supports full-page bleeds, you'll need to have one or more margins set to around 0.25in (6mm). Do be aware you can use Word's '2 pages per sheet' and '4 pages per sheet' print options to shrink the output to fit two or four flyers, respectively, to a page. And, if you insert a rectangular autoshape into the page header sized to the page dimensions (or slightly smaller), centred on the page and positioned 'behind text', the output with produce a border between the flyers that you can use as a cutting guide.

Hi Paul:

Thanks a lot for your reply .

Nope, my ancient printer doesn't support full-page bleeds.

But would you mind giving me a more detailed how-to with regards to the "'2 pages per sheet' and '4 pages per sheet' print option" plus the 'cutting guide' (inserting a rectangular autoshape into the page header...)? Both would be really helpful with creating the flyers!

I recently switched from MS Word 2000 to MS Office 2007 and honestly have no clue where to find these options .

Many thanks.

The '2 pages per sheet' and '4 pages per sheet' print options are both available from the Print dialogue, which usually displays '1 page per sheet' at the bottom.

Inserting a rectangular autoshape into the page header is as simple as I said:

What part of that have you tried and not understood?

Default Tables: 5 cells (tear-off tabs) same width as larger cell above

Hi Paul:

Hopefully my last question... .

How can I make the 5 cells (the tear-off tabs) of the A5 flyer the same width as the larger (text) cell above?

I tried to fix that for quite a while, e.g. with "Distribute Columns Evenly". But no matter what I did the width of the combined 5 tear-off tab cells is still smaller than the width of the larger text cell above .

Thanks a lot!

John

I have no idea what you mean. Perhaps you could attach a document to a post with some representative data (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

Hi Paul:

As you can (hopefully) see in the attachment, the width of each of the two 5 tear-off tabs is less than the width of each of the two larger cells ('textboxes') above .

If it was possibly to make the width of the two 5 tear-off tabs equal to that of the larger cells above that would be really helpful .

Hopefully, it's now more clear what I mean. Sorry about not being specific enough the last time .

Many thanks.

What you have done is to nest a second, 5-column, table inside the first one. What you should have done is split the cell that now contains the nested table into 5 columns instead.
