Default Table in one column affecting table in another column

I have a document with three columns and I'm attempting to paste tables into each of those columns. I (foolishly) started with the column on the far right and was able to successfully paste all three required tables into that column. I then struggled to select the middle column, but finally managed to paste a table into the middle column with no problem.

The second table that I pasted into the middle column was the problem child. Pasting this table pushed the bottom table in the far-right column further down the page.

I turned on the visible text areas and the newly pasted table that is affecting two columns does not exceed the width of the middle column, nor does it affect any tables other than the bottom table in the third column, which is re-positioned to line up with the bottom of the table in the middle column. I can't seem to unlink these two tables, nor can I manually move the table in the far-right column back to its original position without completely disrupting its horizontal positioning within the column and pushing half of the table off the page.

Here's a screenshot. It's "Table 2" that is pushing "Table 5" down the page. The dotted lines are the visible text areas (my tables are borderless)

If only I had been more adventurous before posting. The solution to fix this problem was to edit the table properties of Table #5 and change the Text Wrapping setting from Around to None.
