Can't get rid of empty white space in table
Hi All,
I've been pulling my hair out trying to move table borders, changing font styles to normal and just about everything I've read online. The picture below shows a gap between rows (LGO -- PAO). This is not an empty row, there isn't a row that exists there. I've tried pulling the border from the bottom row to no avail. I've tried pulling the border from the top down too. Has anyone experienced this? Screen Shot 2018-01-23 at 11.27.08 AM.png |

It would be a guess on anyone's part to attempt to resolve this issue from a screenshot. To answer your question and resolve the issue, you should upload the file (or, a like file containing the problem) without any sensitive data. You would do that by responding with the "Go Advanced" button and using the paperclip icon to attach your file.

You would have a much better chance of seeing what the issue is if you turned on Word's formatting display, which you do by clicking on the ¶ symbol on the Ribbon's Home tab.
Table end-of-cell and end-of-row markers are indicated by the '¤'symbol. You can't delete those. Any →, ↵ and ¶ symbols represent tabs, line breaks, and paragraph breaks, respectively. You may have some of these that you don't need/want and are causing the problem. Beyond that, it's a matter of table formatting and/or paragraph formatting but, without access to the affected table, we can't tell.
