extracting data from Table to text file
i've got an MS word file with a table containing numerical data to be used in a Matlab code. when i try to paste the table in a text file, all the rows are being converted into columnsand each column is appearing below the previous one. I found out that this was because the entries in the table were all written in a single row, i.e., around 22 readings in each column but all are written in the same row, in the same cell. Is there anyway to seperate the data in each row into 22 rows each containing one of the readings? please reply Asap... thank you!!!

I created a table that is one row but several columns and placed multiple paragraphs in each cell to somewhat replicate what you have. I discovered that neither Convert to Text or Convert to Table did anything good.
You can use the Draw Table tool (find it by clicking on the Table tool on the Insert tab) to draw in the missing rows. Be sure you have View Gridlines turned on (Layout tab). |
