Default Auto insert table line

Hello all

I have a table of 3 columns and non specific number of rows. Is there a way that MS Word may insert automatically a new row whenever the text that is written in any given cell is wider than the cell ? The row should be inserted under the row of the cell that fills up. Let me note that the row height of all rows will be locked to a specific size, so if the cell is not wide enough the row height wont grow to wrap text.

Thanks in advance

While it might be possible it would be far from simple. It would involve macros which might or might not work on the user's computer. (For me, this would be a major project but I am a lawyer, not a coder.)

What is it that you are trying to accomplish with this? For most of us, the primary reason to limit row height is to limit how much can be input.

It may be possible that you can accomplish what you want in another way.

Since this is your first post here, I am assuming that the recitation of Word 2007 is accurate.

Thank you for replying ChArles.

I do use word 2007 as i go by the moto "if it works dont change it" :-)

I limit row height cause the form i'm trying to create ( which contains the table ) has , for bureacracy reasons there is no need to bother you with , to have a very specific format.

I'm not trying to accomplice anything more that what i describe . I do understand it sounds odd. The table has to have a very specific format and when (often) a cell is not enough for the text , i need to continue below in a new row. I can always insert a new row manually , it would just make things quicker if it could happen automatically

By my definition, Word 2007 was always broke. In virtually every way it was inferior to Word 2003.
Word 2010 is far superior.
Word 2013 and 2016 are both better and worse than 2010; both are superior to 2007.
Both Word 2013 and 2016 have something called a Repeating Section Content Control which would make what you are doing manually a lot easier, but would still not be automatic.
