Side by side tables
I'm writing a CV and I'm trying to get a layout with side by side tables, sort of like this:
Trouble is, I can get two tables, one on the left another on the right, but when I try to put the next table below the one on the right the layout gets screwed up. The table on the right (the first one) gets transfered to the right hand side of the next page and the new table ends at the left hand side of the next page, but not at the beginning. Someone might suggest I use the template in the picture, but I want to make a custom layout. |

You could format the document as two columns (apart from the heading section) and put the text and/or tables in the columns.

I tried that, but I can't place the tables left and right as I wish, rather content only begins to flow into the right hand side once you've filled hte left column.
What I've found, however, is that I can do it by creating a text box and then putting the tables into the text boxes. |
