Unhappy Word 2010 - Text Alignment Issues When Using Styles I created

Hi,
I have been using Word for many years and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I have no problem creating/modifying text styles outside of a table, but I have a problem with them in tables in Word 2010.

I created a Table Text style that is aligned left. From that style I created other styles like Table Text Bold, etc. When I try to change the style of text in a table (let's say from Table Text to Table Text Bold), the text changes to bold, but it also jumps to the right margin of the cell.

I have tried to use the Modify selection, but it shows my text is aligned left (which it is not). I can change the formatting in the Table tab, but that doesn't keep future text from jumping to the right.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thank you,

SurfCity
