Default hyperlink in repeating header row

I have a repeating header row that has a hyperlink. It works on the first page but not on any of the following pages. I have looked for solution but can't find one. Is this a lost cause?

Header row in a table?
The header row is actually only in the first page of the table. That is the only place you can interact with it.
What is it you are trying to accomplish with the hyperlink?
If you save the document as a pdf, the link is active.

When I convert to PDF it does not retain any hyperlinks. What I'm trying to do is have a return to a specific place in the document hyperlink.

Only the hyperlinks on the page actually containing the header row would be active. If you want a header row with active hyperlinks on multiple pages, you'll have to split the table and add the header row to the table on each page.
