increasing dates across college timetable by 40 days
I have a college timetable that ran from January to March 2016. it was produced in MS Word in a series of tables. Our next timetable will run from April to July. We are keeping the same courses so simply want to copy the JanMarch timetable into the beginning of the April Jul period. the only variable is the Day and date in separate but adjacent cells fields.
the Date is formatted "Month Date" sometimes "Month Date" with 3 different dates for a course that lasts a day but runs on three consecutive months and sometimes "Month Date - Month Date" showing the first date and last date for a course that runs one day a week for up to 8 weeks. You would do better to create this in Excel, as that application can do date calculations far more easily than Word. That said, to see how to do this and just about everything else you might want to do with dates in Word, check out my Microsoft Word Date Calculation Tutorial, at:
http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...ation-Tutorial or: http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm#Third_party In particular, look at the item titled Calculate a Date Sequence. Do read the document's introductory material.
