Complex automated numbering in Word tables
Still having difficulties with automatic table numbering in word. Please see attached example of what I am currently doing manually but want to do automatically. More tables continue in the document and are numbered 2, 3, 4 and so on with numbering in accompanying table following the same sequence (i.e. 2.1, 2.1.1.; 2.2; 3.1, 3.1.1 and so on).
Table numbering in these documents is dynamic, not static and needs to change to suit the changing circumstances/line items/entries from month to month. Any suggestions, please?
