Default Wrap TABLES around picture?

Is there a way to set tables to wrap around a picture? I'm trying to insert an image into my document, but every time I try to put it beside a table (even with various formatting to wrap) it tries to insert itself into the table which is NOT the behavior I want.

A table can't wrap around a shape the way text does. If you want to have a table beside a picture, you can change the table's wrapping to 'around' and use any wrapping format other than inline for the picture. If you insert the picture before or after the table, you can then drag it into position.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
